Are You Giving God Your Songs but Not Your Life? (Podcast)

What does it really mean to worship? Most of us instinctively picture music, raised hands, and Sunday mornings. But this conversation challenges us to look much deeper. Drawing from the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis, we are confronted with a stunning truth: when Abraham told his servants they were going to worship, he was not heading to a song service. He was walking toward the most costly act of surrender imaginable. Worship, at its core, is obedience, sacrifice, and the willingness to release what our hearts are most tightly gripping. The way we treat a server who gets our order wrong, the way we love our spouses when we walk through the door after a hard day, the early morning walk where we simply listen instead of perform, all of these become acts of worship when they flow from a heart that has crowned God as King.
