Water Baptism
We believe water baptism is an outward sign of inward change, and those who have been born again by accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior should follow Him in baptism.
Water baptisms are performed Saturday evenings at our Lubbock campuses and Sunday mornings at our Levelland campus several times throughout the year. Sign up and take the next step in your public profession of faith!

What to Expect
Registering for baptism is simple. Choose the campus and date that work best for you, fill out a short form, and our team will follow up with everything you need to know before the big day. On your baptism day, come dressed and ready to be baptized — friends and family are always welcome to celebrate with you. If you have any questions along the way, our team is here to walk with you every step.
FAQs
Does baptism save me?
No. We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not through baptism or anything we can earn. Baptism publicly represents the salvation and new life we have already received through Jesus.
Do I need to have everything figured out first?
No. Baptism is not a declaration that you are perfect. It is a declaration that you have chosen to follow Jesus and trust Him with your life.
What if I was baptized as a baby?
We honor the faith and intentions of parents who have their children baptized. However, at Church on the Rock, we practice baptism after a person has personally chosen to follow Jesus. If you were baptized as a baby, you can still choose to be baptized as a personal expression of your own faith.
Can children be baptized?
Yes, when a child understands salvation, has personally decided to follow Jesus, and can explain what baptism means. A conversation with a parent and a member of our Kids Ministry team may be part of the process.
Can I be baptized again?
If your first baptism happened before you personally chose to follow Jesus, you may decide to be baptized again as a public declaration of your faith. If you have already been baptized as a believer, you do not need to be baptized every time you experience a new season or renew your commitment to God.
Will someone help me during the baptism?
Yes. Our team will explain everything beforehand and guide you through the entire experience.
Can my family and friends attend?
Absolutely. We encourage you to invite the people you love to celebrate this meaningful moment with you.
What if I am nervous about water?
Let our team know when you register. We will talk with you, answer your questions, and help you feel as comfortable and prepared as possible.
Do I have to attend Baptism Class?
Yes. Baptism Class is an important part of preparing to be baptized at Church on the Rock. It allows us to explain what baptism means, answer your questions, help you prepare your testimony, and make sure you know what to expect.
What is a baptism testimony?
Your baptism testimony is a short, personal description of your decision to follow Jesus and why you are choosing to be baptized. It helps others understand and celebrate the story behind your baptism.
Do I have to speak in front of everyone?
No. You will not be required to read your testimony in front of the church. Your written testimony will be read for you when you are baptized.
What if I do not know how to write my testimony?
That is completely okay. During Baptism Class, our team will walk you through a few simple questions and help you put your story into words. It does not need to be long or polished. It simply needs to be honest and personal.
