Better Together (Sermon)
What if the deepest longing we carry is not for more success, more comfort, or more entertainment, but simply to be known? This message takes us back to the very beginning of creation, where God himself declared that isolation is the one thing that is 'not good.' From the moment humanity was formed, we were wired for connection, not just with God, but with one another. The science even backs it up: our brains release oxytocin, a belonging hormone, when we genuinely love and serve each other. God did not design that response by accident. We explore what it means to move beyond simply showing up and instead becoming people who are truly attached and authentically known. The challenge is real: sometimes we sacrifice authenticity just to maintain attachment, pretending to be someone we are not in order to fit in. But Ephesians 4 calls us away from pretense and into honest, life-giving community. If we have ever avoided deep relationships out of fear of being exposed or hurt, this message speaks directly to that wound and points us toward healing.
