How To Follow When You're Afraid (Sermon)
In this powerful message, we're challenged to confront our fears and deepen our trust in God. The central scripture, Isaiah 41:10, reminds us that we don't need to be afraid because God is with us, strengthening and upholding us. This lesson beautifully illustrates how fear and discouragement often go hand-in-hand, but God's presence is the antidote to both. We're encouraged to 'resensitize' ourselves to God's presence, making Him our constant touchpoint in both ordinary and challenging moments. By practicing God's presence in our daily lives, we build the spiritual muscle to rely on Him when fear strikes. The message draws an inspiring parallel between a child seeking comfort from a parent and our need to run to God in moments of fear. It challenges us to examine what we truly elevate as our 'god' in times of uncertainty. Are we turning to distractions and quick fixes, or are we allowing God to be our strength?
