Forks in the Road (Sermon)
What does it look like to parent with intention rather than just instinct? This message takes us on a journey through one of the most challenging and consequential callings we will ever face: raising the next generation with purpose and faith. Drawing on the story of Moses in Hebrews 11, where the faith of his parents transferred into his life even after they were separated, we are reminded that godly parenting leaves a mark that outlasts the moments we can see. The central challenge placed before us is a fork in the road that every family will face: are we building a Christ-centered home or a child-centered one? There is a meaningful difference between putting Christ first and putting Christ at the center of everything. When Christ is truly the center, every decision, every priority, and every boundary flows from that core conviction. We are pushed to examine whether our homes reflect that reality or whether, somewhere along the way, the comfort and happiness of our children quietly moved to the middle. This is not about perfection. It is about having a map before we reach the intersection.
