How Giving Hope Works

More Than a Gift Under the Tree

Giving Hope is about giving children more than a gift under the tree. By sharing the love of Jesus with them, we are giving them the lifelong gift of hope.

Through the generosity of our church family, selected families will be invited to a special Christmas Shopping Experience at our North Campus. Parents will have the dignity and joy of personally choosing gifts for their children while being supported by a Giving Hope Host. Every part of the experience is designed to serve families with kindness, encouragement, and respect.

During the Christmas Shopping Experience, parents will partner with a Giving Hope Host to personally shop for their children. After they have selected their gifts, our team will wrap everything and prepare it to go home with the family. While parents shop, children will enjoy their own special Christmas experience with music, snacks, and the Christmas story. Families will also have the opportunity to receive prayer and encouragement from our ministry team.

This is more than a shopping event. It is a chance for families to experience joy, connection, and the hope of Jesus.

How Sponsorship Works

Step 1: Register

Select your COTR campus and choose the age range you would like to sponsor.

Step 2: Receive Your Details

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with gift information and shopping instructions.

Step 3: Shop for Gifts

Purchase new, age appropriate gifts based on the details provided in your confirmation email.

Step 4: Drop Off Your Gifts

Place the gifts in a bag, attach the provided identification information, and bring them to the designated Giving Hope drop off station at your campus.

Want to Help Without Shopping?

A contactless sponsorship option is also available. This is a simple way to participate in Giving Hope when you may not have time to shop or visit a drop off station. Select the contactless option during registration, and our team will provide the next steps. Our team will use these funds to adopt a family and purchase gifts on their behalf.

Campus Gift Drop Off

Giving Hope gift drop off stations will be available at each Church on the Rock campus. Sponsors should bring their unwrapped gifts together in a bag and attach the required identification tag. If you arrive without a tag, our team will have additional tags available at the drop off station and will help make sure your gifts are properly identified.

What is Giving Hope?
Giving Hope is one of our Church on the Rock ministries that serves selected families in our community through meaningful gifts, personal connection, prayer, and the hope of Jesus.
How do I sponsor a family?
Begin by completing the sponsorship registration form. You will select your campus and the age range you would like to sponsor. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details and shopping instructions.
Can I choose the age range I would like to sponsor?
Yes. During registration, you will be able to select the age range you would like to support, based on current availability.
What gifts should I purchase?
Your confirmation email will include gift guidelines and any available information to help you shop. Please purchase only new, age appropriate items.
Should I wrap the gifts?
No. Please bring the gifts unwrapped and together in a bag and a tag. Our Giving Hope team will wrap the gifts during the Christmas Shopping Experience.
How should I label my gifts?
Attach the identification tag or information provided in your confirmation email. If you forget your tag, additional tags will be available at your campus drop off station.
Where do I drop off my gifts?
Gift drop off stations will be available at each COTR campus. Current dates, times, and locations will be included in your confirmation email.
What is contactless sponsorship?
Contactless sponsorship allows you to support Giving Hope without shopping for or physically dropping off gifts. Select this option when registering, and our team will send you instructions.
Can I sponsor more than one child or family?
Yes, based on availability. Please complete the appropriate registration for each sponsorship so our team can provide accurate shopping and identification details.
Can I include used items?
To create a consistent and honoring experience for every family, we ask that all donated gifts be new.
Can I meet the family I sponsor?
Sponsorship does not include a direct meeting with the participating family. This helps protect each family’s privacy and allows our team to create a comfortable, respectful experience.
How are families selected?
Families are selected through Giving Hope’s established referral and application process. To protect their privacy, personal details will only be shared when necessary for sponsorship.
