Silence & Solitude
In our journey to 'be the one' this year, we're confronted with a powerful truth: hurry is the great enemy of our spiritual life. The world glorifies busyness, but love and hurry are incompatible. We're challenged to ruthlessly eliminate hurry, creating a rhythm that allows us to truly connect with God and others. The story of Jesus retreating to the wilderness (eramos) teaches us that solitude isn't weakness, but a source of strength. By valuing silence and solitude like Jesus did, we can resist the temptation to skim our lives and instead live them fully. This message urges us to turn off external noise, quiet our internal chatter, and intentionally seek moments of silence to hear God's whisper. It's in these quiet moments that transformation occurs, reminding us of God's love and deepening our relationship with Him.
