Empower me to live victoriously and to know You intimately. Give me Your heart with Your passion, and help me reach out to the lost around me. Help me to pray and fast for transformation in my city. You promise in Your Word that my light will break out like the dawn, Your light will guide me; You will satisfy my needs and strengthen my frame… and Lord, I declare that this year will be a year of RESTORATION! Encounter His Presence In hard times

SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)
(Jesus speaking) says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

PRAYER:
Father, as we truly lay our burdens and our weariness at your feet, we choose to receive an encounter with Your presence in exchange. We take You at Your Word and believe that You give us supernatural rest, strength, and healing. We believe that as we seek out Your presence, the heavy burdens that we once felt will begin to feel lighter. The weight of any pain, unforgiveness, worry, doubt, or anxiousness will disappear in Your presence. Your presence changes EVERYTHING. Father, remind us that we can RUN to You in our hard times…that we don’t have to figure it all out on our own. Thank You for Your faithfulness to do what ONLY YOU can do. We thank you for completely consuming us with peace and wholeness.

Day 5 | January 11

ENCOUNTER HIS PRESENCE IN NATURE

MEDITATION:
God is at work all around. Have you noticed? From the sun rising in the east to the geese flying in the skies, God’s handiwork and His attention to detail are on display. What if this year we made it a priority to see His goodness and encounter His presence in our world each day? What if you took five minutes to walk outside and breathe in the cool air with the thought that God was refreshing you today? What if you kept your eyes peeled for glorious sunsets and kept your ears alert to the whispers in the wind? What might the Lord want to speak to you through His creation this year? I’m not sure, but I have a feeling it will be powerful!

SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 33:6-9 (NLT)
“The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.
He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.
Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him.
For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.”

PRAYER:
Father, I thank you that I don’t have to be inside a church building to experience Your presence. You are with me always and Your works are on display as I step outside. Help me to see. Help me to hear. Help me to notice Your faithfulness and Your provision. Thank you that the changing seasons speak to the truth that you are consistent even when the world is not. Thank you for the rains that remind us that You alone provide for the land and for our souls. Thank you for creating the heavens with a simple word, and thank you for speaking truth over my life today.

SCRIPTURE:
Romans 5:8 (NIV)
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

PRAYER:
Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that every person who is walking through a valley right now can pause and reflect and find your presence in the midst of their pain. Lord, let those in the valley be comforted by your presence. Give them courage and the ability to keep walking, to not give up, and to keep their focus on You. I pray that you will remove all fear, all doubt, and all uncertainty. For those who are walking through the valley of sickness, the valley of depression, the valley of loss, or whatever valley they may be walking through let them experience Your love and comfort in a way that’s new to them. Thank you, Jesus, that you are with me. Thank you for never leaving me nor forsaking me. Thank you, that even though times are hard, you are still Good. You are still God, and this valley is only a season. Victory is on the other side of this valley. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray, Amen.

Day 8 | January 14

EXPERIENCE FREEDOM

MEDITATION:
In Exodus 5:1, Moses and Joshua stand before Pharoah and declared, “Let my people go!” That statement was a declaration of Freedom for the people of Israel. Moses had heard from the Lord and stood in front of their oppressor to declare, “Enough is enough.”

As we enter a new COTR season, it’s time to declare over this house, “Let my people go!” It’s time to stand up to our oppressor and declare, “Enough is enough!” God wants His children to walk in Freedom. Here’s something about freedom that we need to remember: freedom doesn’t just call you out of
something old; it releases you into something new. It’s time for all of us to step into a new season of Freedom!

SCRIPTURE:
Exodus 5:1a (NIV)
“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go’…”

PRAYER:
Holy Spirit reveal to me the areas of my life where I need freedom. As you do, I will declare freedom over my life. I break free from the bondage of my past, the addictions in my present, and the fear of my future. I declare today that it’s time for my oppressor to let me go! From this day forward, I will walk in freedom! In Jesus name, Amen.

EXPERIENCE FREEDOM WITH AUTHORITY

SCRIPTURE:
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.”

Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Ephesians 3:12 (NIV)
“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

PRAYER:
Father,
I pray that as I begin this day, You will be with me. I open every aspect of my life to Your leading. Your word says that You have given me the “spirit of power, love, and a sound mind” and I thank You for the authority I have been given to walk in that truth. I come against the spirit of fear and anxiety and release Your spirit of love and peace. Thank You for the freedom that is found in Your presence; I ask that Your peace be before me as I come and go throughout my day. Your word says "It is for freedom that Christ has set me free." So, I will "stand firm, then, and not let myself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Break every chain that binds me, fill me with your Holy Spirit, and let Your light crowd out all darkness. Clothe me with Your armor of faith, righteousness, truth, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. "In Him and through faith in Him I may approach God with freedom and confidence." Help me to walk confidently in the truth that I am yours, and I am able to walk in freedom because YOU, Lord, my God, are with me always!
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Day 10 | January 16

EXPERIENCE FREEDOM IN GOD’S PRESENCE

MEDITATION:
A couple of years ago, I went to a youth camp as a volunteer to help with the kids. We had a night (it was a Tuesday) of worship, and I remember feeling like everyone was watching me. I didn’t feel free to worship the Lord because I was overwhelmed by the thoughts of what others may be thinking. I prayed and asked the Lord to take those feelings away and help me to focus only on Him, and in an instant, I was free. Free to worship Him without worry, free from fear of man, free to dance, free to love on my Heavenly Father, the creator of the WHOLE UNIVERSE! The moment changed me forever. There is freedom in His presence.

We don’t have to sign up for youth camp to experience this; the Bible says when we turn to Jesus, we have full access to the Throne room of God! You can sit in your living room and experience the same freedom in His presence daily!

SCRIPTURE:
2 Corinthians 3:16-17 ESV
“But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

PRAYER:
Lord, I pray for those reading this to encounter you in a new way, a way full of freedom. That their hearts will burn for you. This year marks a season of freedom to worship you and freedom to live a life chasing after your daily presence. Lord, be the first thing we think about each day. Draw close to us as we draw close to you, Lord. Thank you for sending your Son to die for our sins so we can experience the freedom offered by your presence and the freedom to live a life of holiness. Thank you for choosing us. Let us experience a new facet of your love today. Amen.

Day 11 | January 17

EXPERIENCE FREEDOM FROM ADDICTION

MEDITATION:
When I hear the words “breaking free” my first thought goes to addiction. I see women fighting daily at the New Legacy to break free from some form of addiction. As they surrender their lives to the Lord, He is faithful to walk with them day by day. Addiction can be a tough battle, but with faith, determination, and support, we can overcome!

SCRIPTURE:
John 8:36 (NIV)
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed..”

PRAYER:
Father, your Word says, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Today, we pray for freedom and a brighter future, knowing that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). With Your help, every addiction is broken in the name of Jesus! We declare we have conquered and overcome addiction and live a life of freedom and purpose. Amen

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die on the cross, to pay the ultimate price for our sins, and redeem us back to the Father. Because we have accepted Jesus in our hearts, His Spirit now lives in us. Therefore, we can walk in complete assurance knowing that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Day 13 | January 19

EXPERIENCE FREEDOM THROUGH OBEDIENCE

MEDITATION:
According to the Christian worldview, freedom is not a matter of doing whatever you want without restraint, but living in obedience to God's will. In other words, true freedom results when our desires fully align with God's will for our lives. We do this by cultivating the right wants. When we allow the Holy Spirit to love through us, we are free. When we take up our cross and obediently follow His will for us, we are free! That freedom is a gloriously powerful feeling!

SCRIPTURE:
Galatians 5:13-1416 (THE VOICE TRANSLATION)
“Brothers and sisters, God has called you to freedom! Hear the call, and do not spoil this gift by using your liberty to engage in what your flesh desires; instead, use it to serve each other as Jesus taught through love. For the whole law comes down to this one instruction: “Love your neighbor as yourself,”

PRAYER:
Lord, we live in a society that claims freedom of speech, expression, and actions, yet we are in bondage to addictions of every kind. Thank You for showing us that true freedom only comes when we are obedient to Christ. Today we choose to die to our selfish desires and submit to Your will. We long to be controlled only by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Day 14 | January 20

EXPERIENCE FREEDOM TO BE

MEDITATION:
The beauty of Freedom is that it is 2-edged: Freedom From and Freedom To!
It is life-giving to experience freedom from things, but it is an abundant life to live free to do and be all that God has designed for us!

SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 4:15b-16 (TPT)
“…our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.”

PRAYER:
God, we are awed that you made us free to stand before you! You want to hear from us, help us, answer us, give us mercy and strength, and have an intimate relationship with us. Help our unbelief in this matter so that we might fully take advantage of this beautiful gift. Increase our passion to be with You and hear what You have to say.
In Jesus Name, Amen!

Day 15 | January 21

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY FOR STRENGTH

MEDITATION:
Godly Community should light a FUSE in us as believers. Gathering with people who share the same love for Jesus, the same care for others, who listen and “spur one another on toward love and good deeds” Hebrews 10:24 (NIV) enhances this life we live. When we allow ourselves to be open to others, this creates a space to grow individually and as a family of believers, so that as we connect with one another, we are truly living the life God created for us.

Community is Fun – Proverbs 27:9 (NIV)
Community is Unifying - Psalm 133:1 (NIV)
Community is Supportive - Proverbs 17:17 (NIV)
Community is Encouraging - Hebrews 10:24 (NIV)

SCRIPTURE:
Proverbs 27:9 (NIV)
Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.

PRAYER:
Father, THANK YOU for placing me on this Earth with others. Thank you for providing people around me who love you and want to see me thrive. I pray that I will be a light to others and spark a FUSE in them so that they feel supported in their life. You are good and your love endures forever!! I give you all of the praise and this is all in Your MIGHTY Name, Jesus!”

Day 16 | January 22

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY WITHIN OUR FAMILY

MEDITATION:
Home should be a safe place…a comfortable place. Being with family should be safe and comfortable, but that is not always the case. Sometimes, the familiarity we have with family may cause us to act the least Christ-like in those scenarios. Today, my prayer for each of us is that we would “Engage in Godly Community” within our family…meaning our conversations with our kids would be Christ-like, honor among spouses, and love, patience, and grace in our homes.

SCRIPTURE:
Galatians 5:22 (NIV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I ask that your Holy Spirit would rule in every one of our homes today and this year. I pray that the fruit of your spirit will be expressed throughout conversations and interactions each and every day. I pray that love would trump everything, that joy would fill each person’s heart, and that peace would surround their minds. I ask that you give each of us patience with our families, the ability to be kind and do good to each other, and the faithfulness to continue. Lord, I ask you to help us walk in your gentleness and the self-control that can come only through your Holy Spirit.
Lord, today, we say THANK YOU for our family. Thank you for the blessing of each member of it. Thank you for our homes. May your LOVE, JOY, and PEACE rule in every single area of our home, and may we truly “engage in Godly community” within our family today and each day of this year.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Day 17 | January 23

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY IN HUMILITY

SCRIPTURE:
Philippians 2:2-4 (NIV)
“Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

PRAYER:
Lord, we come to You with humble hearts, as You alone can unify us. You alone can guide us into service of others where our thoughts for ourselves fade and our thoughts for others increase. May the joy we experience through selfless giving contagiously infect our church and community with a like-minded desire to serve each other wholeheartedly. Like a husband and wife who continuously seek ways to honor and serve one another, may all our relationships grow to a place that exemplifies the same love You, Lord Jesus, have so graciously given to us through Your sacrificial service. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 18 | January 19

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY FOR OUR PURPOSE

SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

PRAYER:
Jesus, we enter your gates today with praise and adoration for who you are. You are a God that loves community, you are a community builder. Today we are inspired by the wisdom of Hebrews 10:24-25, and our hearts align in pursuit of Your divine purpose.

Guide us, Jesus, to pursue people with genuine love and compassion, fortifying us in moments of challenge and celebration alike. May our togetherness be a dance of love and good deeds, reflecting the transformative grace of Your kingdom in our lives.

Empower us to extend this sacred fabric of fellowship far beyond these 21 days. Let our shared prayer be a symphony of hope, echoing the beauty of Your love and inspiring others to join this dance of faith. In pursuing You, pursuing people, and pursuing Your kingdom, may our journey become a testament to Your glory. Amen.

Day 19 | January 25

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY FOR EQUIPPING

SCRIPTURE:
Eph 4:12-16 (NKJV)
“... the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Eph 4:12-16 NKJV)

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I marvel at Your plan in Jesus Christ for us to live and grow in community, whether it is in family, church, sports, interest groups, or the arts. You have created each of us as unique and individual, and with strengths and weaknesses. Then Jesus Christ added individual giftings (Eph 4:8).

In community, we can share with and receive from others so that we all together learn and grow in Your intended outcome. So I say, “Yes, I want to use my strengths and Jesus Christ’s giftings" to:
  • Be equipped for the work of the ministry and help others become equipped.
  • Come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, and help others into unity.
  • Reach Your Perfection as a person, and help others reach Your Perfection too.
  • Be filled to the measure of the stature of Christ, and help others be filled to His measure.
  • Grow beyond childhood to maturity and help others reach their maturity.
  • Stand against instability, winds of doctrines, the trickery, cunning craftiness, and deceitful plotting of men, and help others stand strong, too.
  • Speak the truth in love, grow up in all things into Christ, and help others speak truthfully and grow into Christ.
  • Join in Christ’s body (the community), being knit together by what each of us supplies, and help others join into community.
  • Effectively work and share for mutual growth and edifying in love while helping others to effectively work, share, grow, and love one another.
Yes, let us all grow together in loving community as You have purposed through Jesus Christ. In His Name, Amen

Day 20 | January 26

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY…WE BELONG & RECEIVE

MEDITATION:
There is unimaginable power in the name 'Jesus!' Amazingly, He gives us the right to be family with Him and to belong to that name! The key is not to strive but to receive! Everything we are and need is in His name. Let’s receive Him in a fresh way today!

SCRIPTURE:
John 1:11,12 (NIV)
He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus,
Thank you for giving us the right to become children of God. We are born of God and we declare today that we belong to you. Let the enemy of our souls stand condemned today as we make this declaration of belonging to You. Thank you for making every provision for us to belong to your family. So, right now…we pause and receive from you.
  • We receive the love that you showed as you gave yourself for us.
  • We receive the power of grace you give us today. Father, since you declare that we are your children, we believe it, and we receive it in Jesus' Name!
  • We ask for the grace to be receiving sons and daughters today. Open the eyes of our hearts to see others the way that you do.
  • Help me to give the love that I receive today to whom you send me.
In Jesus’ Name
Amen

ENGAGE IN GODLY COMMUNITY TO BE STIRRED UP

SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 10:24-25
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the day approaching."

PRAYER:
Father, as we sit and encounter your presence and experience your freedom, remind us to consider how to stir up one another to love and good works as Hebrews 10 says!
Jesus! As you set the example of serving, may we also set the example in how to engage in community. What will be the difference?

This! Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light so shine before men that they see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven". Today in every place of influence, including our homes, workplaces, family, community, strangers, and the downtrodden, the Holy Spirit makes us more aware of the rich opportunities of serving in our community. Father, remind us that nothing is too small or too big in service to you! We stand on your promise in Proverbs 11:25 "Those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." Amen
